An Overhead Pass is a pass thrown preferably with two hands on each side of the ball and the player stepping towards the target, aiming to hit them in the chest. This a pass commonly used when making a pass in transition or as a skip pass as it usually moves quickly over the top of the defense with a very slight arc. The passer should take a pivot step in the direction of the intended target to create the most strength behind the pass. After the pass the passer's thumbs should be angled mostly forward if the passer followed through properly.
