Second Chance Points in basketball refers to when a team that has possession of the ball on offense takes a shot and then recovers an offensive rebound which allows them another chance to score. This is a tracked statistic at some levels of play. Second chance points refers not only to the second chance the offense gets to shoot within a single possession but all additional shot attempts til the opposing team recovers the ball.
